Dr. Faustus


1.The play directed by Matthew Dunster for Globe theatre ends with this scene (see the image of Lucifer). What does it signify?

Ans.)  The play directed by Matthew Dunster for globe theater ends with the scene of Lucifer. We can see the power of Lucifer through wings. According to me this image represents Lucifer's successful in his goal. Dr. Faustus died at last. Lucifer celebrated his victory with a wide wings and showed his power.20 and 4 years come to end so Dr. Faustus repenting. We can see here that God failed to save Dr. Faustus. God has no power. So I can say that God is more powerful than God.
       
2. Is God present in the play? If yes, where and how? If No, why? 

 Ans.)  It is difficult for me to say that in this play God is present or not.we can say that God is not physically present in the play. But every time God is remembered by Dr.faustus. In the last scene of the play, Dr.Faustus asking for God's forgiveness. Faustus' despair denies God's mercy. In the final scene, Dr.Faustus cries out to Christ to redeem him. We can say here that God is not physically present here but all time God was remembered.
     
3. Is God present in the play? If yes, where and how? If No, why?

 Ans.) This image about the Greek mythological characters. The father Deadalus and his son Icarus. They were in prison. Icarus wanted to fly so his father made waxen wings. But he strictly warned him to not to go beyond limit because these wings made with wax. If he will fly near the sun it will melted and may fall down. But when they were flying Icarus didn't listen to his father's warning and reached at the sun and his wings melted and fall down. So we can compare Dr.Faustus' life with this image. Dr.Faustus wants to become more knowledgable person. So he chooses a wrong path for knowing about knowledge. Lust for knowledge is good but the way is wrong. He cross all the limitations and invites his fall. according to me Dr.Faustus is responsibal for his own fall.
   

4. How do you interpret this painting?

Ans.)   This picture is about the Greek mythology. In this picture we can see that all people are busy with their own works. This picture is  also called "landscape with the fall of Icaraus".

The Pinteresque features of The Birthday Party In roduction:- Two of the notable facts about Harold Pinter were, first , that he was a Jew, born of Jewish parents, and , second, that he worked as an actor for some time before he became a playwright. Pinter was born on the 10 th October, 1930 in   Hackney , a London borough. By the time of his birth the Jewish population of North London had risen from about 5000 in 1880 to about 40,000. The North London Jewry was known for its solid middle class respectability and religious conformity. In view of the economic insecurity which the family felt, Pinter’s father worked very hard, working twelve hours a day, making clothes. Eventually, however the old man lost his business and had to work for somebody else. Pinter never forgot this situation in his early life – the combination of calm and unrest beauty and ugliness; and these qualities permeate his work. Youth Festival 2018: Academic Task

        Our University has organised "Aishvaryam Youth Festival 2018" for 3 days from 26/10/2018 to 28/10/2018. Many events were organised in the youth festival. They are:  Kalayatra, Quiz, poetry recitation, on the spot painting, mimicry, bhajan, cartooning, paper collage, mono acting, sugam geet, folk dance, solo folk dance, western dance, western solo dance, folk orchestra, essay writing, elocution, rangoli...etc,.                            A month ago, all the students started their preparation for youth festival. There were many rules of youth festival. All the participates got their own identity card.              I could not attend all events. Because I was presented at our department as a volunteer. Quiz and Essay writing competitions were organised at our department. On 26 October, the first round of Quiz was stared. On 27 October, the final round of quiz and essay writing were organised. The time of final round of quiz was at 9:00 a.m
