Talk with an author and rational thinker Bhupendrasinh Raol

On 5th March 2019, we organised talk with an author and rational thinker Bhupendrasinh Raol, on his book "Rasayanik Geeta", which was unforeseen session. As per the tradition of department Bhupendrasinh sir was verbally welcomed by Dr. Dilip Barad sir and then with the flower bouquet we welcomed him.

Raol sir talked about the hard truths about human nature and for that he also gave some convenient examples. He informed us about the research on the similarities between Human and chimpanzee's behaviour. He makes us aware about the limbic system of mammals. According to him Chimpanzees used to live in groups, in which the role of Alpha is very dominant among the entire group just like we Humans have. In addition he gave us information about the species of Bonobo, historically they are known as the pygmy Chimpanzee, is one of the two species making up the genus pan; the other being the common Chimpanzee are male dominant whereas Bonobos are female dominant.

Then sir talked about the topics which are taboo in India. He said that according to WHO, India is country with the highest burden of TB, and then he gave new acronym TO Temple Obsession. He gave some statistics about Temples, Mosque and Chaurces. According to him India has more than 10,00,000 Temples, 3,00,000. Mosques and 200 Chaurches. So it is clear now how much we Indians are obsessed with Temples/Mosques.

It was worth attending session. His tone was gallow Humours so we enjoyed hammers on our brains with the touch of laughter. Reena Khasatiya, Karan Pandya, Mahirpari Goswami, Vipul Dabhi, and Kavitaba Gohil gave feed back. And I gave vote of thanks. At the end Abul Abedi gave him book as a token of love. Riddhi Joshi did anchoring and also prepare flower bouquet.
